Where the heck is this technology going ?
So i come to you again, after yesterday writing about the Google HTC, my mind has changed, i don't want the Google HTC phone, forget it.
Small research with my friend G (my friend G = Google), and we've come up to things i never knew off. I'll start with asking if you remember those touchscreen like things in a movie with Tom Cruise, in Mission Impossible 2 ? When he just moves his fingers on a screen, and things move an twirl and everything you can imagine ? That doesn't seem like impossible anymore right ? Well it seems it's not, atleast this is what the Toshiba guys said in Berlin last month.
Okay, so let's see something else. Touchscreen phones. Pffffttt, i can tell you, i've been having a head acke in thinking about what phone to get. We are writing 2008's end, and what do we have on the market now ? Like literally on the market:
iPhone 3g
T-Mobile G1

LG Prada

LG Viewty

And much more I don't even know off. In 2 months time (in my country) there are a couple of phones coming up, like Nokia XpressMusic 5800, aimed for the musicians, for a phone which will cost 269 euros (!!!), it's lighter then the iPhone, but it's thicker. For now, i mean for this minute, this is my choice, since i'd use the phone to listen to music. Nokia has annoucened the touchscreen N series for 2009, so um um ... will these be the iPhone killers?

We have the Samsung Omnia, which lots of people love, and over iPhone lots of the pick this one. It looks great, slick phone, with cool features, but some say that next year Samsung will bring out a phone, which is fit for the internet with Google Apps installed on it (maybe it will have Android on it ??), so headsup for Samsung.

Sony won't backoff the phone market. So as we know Sony is teamed up with Ericsson, everyone knows, what Sony makes, it's awsome, i won't comment on Ericsson. So of course that SonyEricsson will have a touchscreen phone on the market. It's called SonyEricsson XPERIA X1. I didn't read up much on it, but it does look great.

Amongst these i've read that there is coming a Toshiba phone, HP (!!!) phone.
Now that we got to HP, they are doing something new on the laptop market also. In 2010 they will make some touchscreen laptops, erm ... yes, touchscreen laptops. Article about the HP touchscreen here. Hp won't be the only one, the EEE PC hit manufacterer, Asus, will be doing the same, with some EEE PC 7" 8" 9" and 10" versions of the touchscreen laptops. These Asus laptopts will have Windows 7 on them, which was built so it supports touchscreen support. Windows 7 will be available for sale one year from now, right before christmas. What does this Windows 7 know ? Well that's another article, i'm planning to test the Alfa version soon, so maybe i can do a review about it, one word about it, Windows 7 is how Windows Vista should have been.

So in a final conclusion it seems that in 2 years time, new mobiles, laptops and expect new gadgets will be touchscreen like, so you can say bye-bye to the keyboards and mouses, altho i'm sure that gamers will say that a game without a mouse is not a game, it's a typing contest.
Google Phone aka HTC Dream aka T-Mobile G1
Hi everyone. There has been a long time since i didn't post here, so it was about time.
During the last weeks a new phone caught my attention, and it caught it so much, that i've never looked after a phone so much as this one. As title sais, it's about the Google Phone(yes, that's how i call it). If you ready up carefully on it, it may seem as it is a dream, but it's not anymore. Before you jump out of your seat and want to buy one, just stay put, for now only in the USA you can buy this phone, in the following months it will be delivered across the world, but let's just see what does this little phone know.

We will start from the inside out. What is the little heart of this awsome creature ? It's an open source operating system, called Android, and it's developed by Google, so people may call it the Google OS. Android has been such a great hit on the phone market, that all major phone manufacturares announced that they will makes phones, which will have Android on them, so I'd say that next year will be the "Android Year". Anyway, the Google Phone is the 1st which uses the Google OS. This is linux, but it combines Google's online applications with the desktop ones. Like you can run youtube, google maps just a touch away, and of course all comes preconfigured for your phone.
This is Android on iPhone(!!!)
What comes with the Android in the Google Phone ? Well of course a touch screen, which handles the movements of your finger pretty easily, and basicly you can do everything with the touch screen, but when it comes to typing, the G1 has a QWERTY keyboard also, which appears, if you pop up the screen.
On the keyboard you can find a magnifing lense, which is the Search button, so with that button you can search in any application, in youtube, google, google maps, your contacts, your text messages, your IM messages, anywhere.
The dimensions of the Google Phone is: 11.7cm x 5.5 cm x 1.6 cm, which makes it smaller then the iPhone, but it's thicker.

The Phone comes with a 1GB Micro SD Card as far as i know, but maybe it's just an SD CArd. As an info when will this phone be available, i can't give you a straight answer, but for example, in Hungary, it apears next spring, and i'm sure, once it will appear i can't wait to buy one, this Phone is just great, something i've been dreaming about for years now. Finally here is a video demonstration of the HTC Dream G1 T-Mobile Google Phone, so you can see it in action. (One thing, no one talks about how well can you talk on it, or how does the text messages writing work, but I guess we'll find out, for sure i'll post a blog, when i get this Dream Phone! (: )
